The Seekers Class
The Seekers is the co-ed adult Bible Class in our church. Our current study is the short-term Disciple Bible Study (Abingdon Press) of Paul’s Epistle to the Romans. Unlike most studies of Romans, which concentrate on Paul’s theology or moral teachings, this course stresses the impact Romans has had on the history of Christianity and the formation of its doctrines. We meet on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. to discuss the topic and view the video segments of the lesson. These segments include narrative presentations of scripture, conversations between scholars, and historical snapshots of people’s encounter with Romans, and are used as a starting point for discussion of the continuing legacy of Paul’s letter.
The class is an opportunity for the adults of our church to increase their Biblical literacy, ponder other’s points of view and get to know their fellow church members.
The class meets from September through May. Topics change during the year, but we always welcome everyone to our fellowship. Coffee is always served and we want you to join us.
